Help wanted - web site reporters
Our troop web site has a completely new look this year. I'd like to keep troop members and parents visiting the site often by publishing current (and hopefully interesting!) information and photos about troop meetings and events. It would be great to have a brief article every month about the most recent camping trip or special activity.
Unfortunately, I won't be attending many events now that Alex has gone to college. That means I'll have to rely on someone who participates to write a short story, at least two paragraphs of five or six sentences each, describing something interesting or funny about the trip. Don't forget that you're Scouts, so that means nothing mean or embarrassing. I'll ask for a volunteer at the meeting before each trip, and expect the article at the next meeting. If there is more than one volunteer, I'll randomly pick a Scout who hasn't already had a chance.
Good help doesn't come cheap, so I'm willing to resort to bribery. I've purchased some Boy Scout pens and spoof merit badges. Each reporter will get a pen and his choice of the remaining badges. I'm pretty excited about making our web site something special, and hope that everyone can find something worth viewing here. Thanks in advance for helping me do that.
Update - photographers wanted
A pen and a badge are also available for anyone who is willing to share photos of any Troop event. Please submit photos on a CD if possible. I can also download the photos directly from your camera if you give me at least one day's notice at webadmin@troop63nj.org.
